Main Duties & Responsibilities
Rieke Packaging located in Auburn IN is seeking an experience NPD Product Design Engineerto join our team in Auburn Indiana.
The Design Engineer is responsible for:
Undertaking a full range of engineering activities in line with all relevant process, quality and other requirements, supplying specialist advice and support across projects and to other functions as appropriate.
Product development from concept to design across a number of projects at any one time from existing product improvement to new product development ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
Ensuring projects are on time and to budget ensuring they meet customer requirements, managing resources to achieve the desired output.
Working with sales and customers to identify Voice of the Customer requirements. Presenting concepts and design reviews to ensure Critical to Quality aspects are identified early in the project and meet with Rieke product offerings.
This is very much a ‘hands-on’ role.
Qualifications of the Product Design Engineer:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Design Engineering or equivalent
Experience of working in a FMCG industry (consumer electronics, food, packaging)
3+ years as a Design Engineer
6+ years as a Sr. Design Engineer
The Product Design Engineer will have:
Injection molding design experience
Multi-part plastic assembly experience
3D CAD (Pro-E / Solid Works experience essential)
Experience with MS Office
Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally without restriction
