The Plant Quality Engineer is responsible for all measures with regard to an improved product quality during the series production phase. Normally, the Quality Engineer is assigned to one or several customers, being their contact person for the quality-related day-to-day business.


  • Works out project related process, flow charts, etc with other plant functions

  • Works out project related P-FMEA

  • Final submission for PPAP to customer

  • Responsible for trials for purchased parts including packaging

  • Responsible for achieving manufacturing process quality target, continuous improvement of process quality and process related quality documentation

  • Performs process and product audits

  • Performs MSA’s

  • Uses customer internet portals and is aware and able to train to customer specifics

  • First contact for customer concerns; Coordination of A3 process

  • Supports lessons learned process based on customer concerns

  • Responsible for alerting management when potential design issues arise where product design would have a negative effect on the product quality/functionality

  • Performs process and product audits

  • Aid the Quality manager in developing and implementing the company’s’ quality management system in accordance with automotive standards and other customer standards.

  • Pro-Active approach to quality and complimentary to operational efficiency



  • Degree from qualified university in engineering, quality, applied science, or other related field preferred

  • Extensive background with inspection and testing. Plastics and blow molded parts preferred

  • Project management experience preferred

  • Automotive experience a plus

  • Ability to use statistics for analysis in problem solving

  • Able to moderate process/FMEA sessions

  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, Office)

  • Able to perform MSA

  • Experience in auditing process and products
