Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to provide banking, securities, and asset management services to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and controls to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation. For every new product launched and every trade executed, it is Operations that develops and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.
The Operations division partners with all areas of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. Alongside this vital service delivery role, Operations provides essential risk management and control, preserving and enhancing the firm’s assets and its reputation. Operations span all product lines and markets.
CWM Operations partners within the CWM Division and across the firm to deliver comprehensive capabilities, solutions and operational excellence in support of the Firm’s global consumer and wealth management businesses.
Change Delivery is the team in CWM responsible for managing global change initiatives for the Division. The team is comprised of two distinct functions: Change Delivery and Testing Center of Excellence.
The Testing Center of Excellence is responsible for developing, planning, and executing comprehensive software user acceptance testing (UAT) in support of key programs and projects within CIMD. Typical projects span a range of areas including business expansion, digitization, automation, risk & control, and regulatory compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Job Summary and Responsibilities
Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports on multiple projects of varying size
Apply systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to understand software or system functional specifications and develop testing approaches
Perform thorough analysis of requirements specifications and design documents using structured techniques to identify testable conditions
Develop and implement test plans for functional application areas and document testing failures and defects using standard defect tracking tool
Participates in all testing phases, including functional, system, integration, automation and user acceptance (UAT) of computer systems or programs, including prototypes, based on and related to user or system design specifications
Certify quality level of applications from functional and regression testing perspective
Conduct tests and undertake analysis of results to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and/or client requirements
Creates regression test cases for business process flows
Create test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow
Create and manage JIRA dashboard for testing artefacts
Responsible for UAT delivery of test scenarios, scripts, defects and execution results
Record software defects with bug tracking system and report defects to software developers
Create a test strategy on project requirements and schedule
Inform test progress against schedules
Work with UAT Lead/Architect to enforce "design for testability" guidelines/guiding principles within Value Stream / ART
Support and contribute to the Agile Release Train (ART)/Value Stream Testing goals
Participating in design and code reviews, refactor code as needed to meet evolving design standards, participate in or lead engineering process improvements
Participate in Sprint level test planning and technical meetings with Value Stream System team members across areas (Architecture, Product Owner, App Dev, Testing)
Hold periodic quality review meetings with Value Stream/ART representatives and System teams to discuss bottlenecks, process failures, and other roadblocks
Responsible for developing remediation plans for KPIs/KRIs related to quality and speed
Coordinate with other Quality Engineers across ART/Value Streams to understand areas outside of competency and share information regarding common themes, new solutions, automation, etc.
Perform testing process impact analysis to understand the effects of newly implemented processes and tools meant to improve efficiencies
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent
At least 3 years’ experience working in an Agile delivery environment, quality inspection, auditing, and testing
At least 3 years working experience within agile development teams with a BDD approach and supporting the developers to quality assure developments early
Working understanding of Wealth management and/or banking domain
Report on testing progress and strategy and provide interpretation and insight on progress to inform management to take decisions
Experience in establishing enterprise level strategy and good understanding of Investment banking practices and requirement
A strong passion for quality, high level of attention to detail, and the proven ability to solve complex technical challenges
Extensive experience applying Quality Engineering techniques across the SDLC/Agile to improve the quality of systems and enable the ability to deliver quality at speed
Experience with configuring build tools, CI/CD pipeline is a plus
Experience writing, maintaining and executing automation tests using frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Selenium or similar
Technical Skills
3 plus years of UAT/Quality assurance & testing methodologies experience (Waterfall, Agile etc.)
Proficient with tools like Quality Center/ALM, QTP/Selenium, JIRA, Load runner etc.
Experience with Test Design optimization tools like CA ARD, Hexawise or similar
3 plus years of experience with Functional, UAT, Automation, Mobile, Performance testing
Understanding of how to manufacture and manage test data in an enterprise-class development environment
Service support – the use of DevOps, Continuous Delivery and ITIL concepts to lead an effective support operation
Relevant industry certification such as HP ALM, Agile certifications, ISTQB, PMP or other specialized IT certifications
Quality engineering mindset with a passion for learning business architecture and domain
Experience implementing automated testing solutions for mid to large projects
Good understanding of Agile, DevOps and CI/CD methodologies
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Coaching team members with a goal of fostering an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment
Sharing knowledge and developing templates and accelerators for the Testing COE
