Job Summary: Job Summary: Full-time Research Technician position, open in the Research and Evaluation Division of Centerstone Research Institute. The Research Technician will be responsible for locating up to date contact information for clients and collecting client follow-up data via a structured telephone interview. Responsible for maintaining Excel and Access data sets. Additional responsibilities include cleaning data, assisting with reporting, managing hard copy and electronic records, and providing feedback on project logistics to supervisor. Candidate must have excellent communication skills, be comfortable talking with people on the phone about sensitive issues, and be available for day time and early evening hours. Candidate must be willing and able to learn Excel and Access skills. Requirements: Job Requirements: Completed or in the process of completing a Bachelor s degree in social science, mental health care, communications or related field; minimum of 1 year of related experience. * Available to work 40 hours each week * Ability to work quickly and efficiently; multi-tasking * Ability to focus on tasks at hand with office background noise * Meet daily/weekly quotas as set by supervisor * Must adhere to the shift schedule once it is set; must be reliable and punctual and communicate any schedule issues with supervisor with ample notice. * Experience in customer services or telephonic based work is a plus * Experience conducting interviews/assessments with behavioral health clients (on the phone) a plus * Able to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, staff, and supervisors * Possesses organizational skills to maintain records and coordinate other tasks as assigned * Skilled in speaking to persons of various social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds with mental and physical disorders * Strong computer skills in data management and a willingness to learn how to use Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and other software * Knowledge of co-occurring populations a plus * Detail-oriented with good time management and critical thinking skills * Comfort with checking understanding of what the person is saying * Ability to work on multiple projects smoothly; comfort transitioning from one project to another during the course of daily work * Ability to match and pace conversation with the person on the phone s tone, speed and volume * Engaging, upbeat, and respectful demeanor on the phoneWhy work for Centerstone* * Generous PTO Plan * Comprehensive Benefit Packages * Wellness Program with Incentives * Friendly Relaxed Atmosphere * Employer Matched Retirement Plan * Professional and Leadership Training Centerstone is an equal opportunity employer.
