About Our Team: KARs IT Vendor Management team governs our IT vendors throughout the entire lifecycle. This includes sourcing, procurement, contracts, relationship and performance management and licensing oversight. In this role you will focus on managing IT vendor relationships throughout the lifecycle to maximize value while also identifying and mitigating poor performance and risk to the organization. This is a fast-paced environment that brings new challenges each day. We work with all our technology teams, legal, and info security daily and are the hub for each of the technology organizations purchases and contracts.About Our Candidate: You are someone who gets the bigger picture and are able to capture the details. Its organized chaos and thats the fun of it.What You Will Be Doing: You will be doing everything with our purchases, renewals, contracts, and licensing pricing and TandCS negotiations, risk review, project management, licensing audits, process improvements, budgeting, invoicing, etc. We work in an agile manner, similar to our technology teams that we support. We review and prioritize upcoming work twice a week, we meet regularly to discuss what is going well, what isnt and what needs to change. We have daily standup meetings to discuss the day, roadblocks, etc.Team Philosophy: The VMO should never be something our internal customers engage because they have to but because they want to. We are a strategic arm of the technology organization and do no just push paper and check boxes from a due diligence perspective.As an IT Vendor Management Analyst there are multiple duties that encompass your role including:Track, measure, report and evaluate vendor performance, monitor contractual agreements from vendors for all IT functions and collaborate with IT teams to assure vendor partners are effectively managed and contracts are leveragedEstablish internal and external standards and processes for technology/IT vendor interactions and identify areas of improvement with internal processesUnderstand critical business processes supporting business, interview internal and external customers to gather requirements and develop solutionsManage the maintenance of a source of vendors in a contract management database to track key dates (expirations, renewals) and assess demandClassify and rationalize the vendor portfolio so focus can be applied to the most strategically important vendor relationships/engagementsUtilize vendor management tools to analyze and monitor vendor performanceMaintain an inventory of vendor spend (often in collaboration with other areas, such as finance) by category (software, hardware, telecom, staff augmentation, services)Manage vendor relationships as a key point of contact between vendors and the businessRepresent the customers position in front of vendors to obtain the convenient or desirable business outcome for the customerProactively work with IT teams to identify ways to improve business process efficiencies as it relates to vendor managementWhat You Need to Be Successful: 1-3 years of the following professional experience:IT/technologyGathering/analyzing data and produce reporting on requestIT sourcing/ procurementStrong interpersonal communication to effectively build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customersAwesome organizational and planning skillsAbility to prioritize and meet deadlinesAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to work well in a high volume, fast-paced environmentAbility to define problems, organize relevant information, establish facts, and draw and defend valid conclusionsWhere
