Canon Business Process Services Project Implementation Manager in Carmel, Indiana


The Project Manager will be responsible for leading project start up transitions including create and oversight of project plan in coordination with Operation management and other respective departments.


  • Manage and lead the project start-up transition including creation and oversight of project plan in coordination with local operations management team

  • Responsible for ensuring all contractual operational requirements are met so that the Site Manager is prepared for on-going compliance

  • Demonstrates effectively to train new manager/staff member at the client site by selecting, developing, and mentoring staff, handle corrective actions, evaluating performance, provide training and development opportunities, coach and counsel staff

  • Performs day-to-day communication with client’s administrator and the new CBPS staff

  • Keeps senior operations management team and HR informed daily on all operational issues

  • Works closely with local operations management and the client to evaluate, research and recommend solutions to office services related issues and problems

  • Assists the Site Manager with contacts and negotiations in regard to outside vendors

  • Develops six sigma & continuous improvement quality control standards on daily work performed by CBPS staff & mgmt

  • Works with the Site Manager/Assistant Site Manager to establish site goals

  • Recommends CBPS “service enhancement” program to the Site Manager and local operations management

  • Advises new Site Manager of CBPS Human Resource and Operation’s policies and procedures

  • With the Site Manager, develops the site’s individual site operations manual

  • Designs spreadsheets for weekly, monthly, etc. statistical “Service Activity Reports” specifically tailored to the current site

  • Educates Site Manager regarding CBPS Company processes and procedures on staff payroll, site billing, service enhancements, employee-of-the month reports, etc

  • Assists in the analysis of new/potential accounts


  • 4 year college degree or comparable work experience

  • 3-5 years experience specific to industry

  • Prior site management experience in mail/copy industry

  • Expert ability to make good decisions based on combination of analysis, experience, & professional judgment

  • Expert in research, gather, arrange, compile, interpret, summarize, & evaluate complex & intangible data

  • As required by account contract, knowledge of industry trends and technological changes

  • Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications along with MS Project & Vizio applications

  • Communicate effectively with diverse groups and individuals

  • Ability to manage difficult clients, employees and situations

  • Advanced ability to execute the highest quality, production and customer service

  • Excellent leadership, presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills


  • 50% Travel required, locally

  • Occasionally lifting and/or moving of up to 50 lbs
