Datalinks Software Developer
We are looking for a talented Datalink Software Developer to join our team specializing in Machine Integration Software Development for our Corporate Office in Columbus, Indiana
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Involvement in specification, design, implementation, testing and/or release of software that controls the operation of Cummins’ products in a variety of customer applications.
Investigate embedded software problems, understand causal mechanisms, recommend appropriate action, own problem resolution and documenting results with guidance from more experienced team members.
Apply and support the improvement of embedded software development processes and tools including but not limited to model based development, coding, compiling and test. Tools include Simulink, code editors, integration tools, static analysis tools, compilers and hardware in the loop test tools.
Obtain input and negotiate with product and software development teams and deliver verified software features, components, and builds to product teams.
Provide independent execution of established work processes and systems, while still developing technology or product knowledge; engage with the improvement of systems and processes.Make decisions in the areas of software requirements, design, implementation and test that impact the quality and performance of individual software features and/or components.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Strong Programming skills/experience especially around C
Bachelors or Master’s in electrical engineering with some controls experience
Experience with various debugging tools is preferred
2 years of experience using SAE-J1939 Standard Protocol

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
