MELE Associates, Inc. Security Specialist in Crane, Indiana

The Security Specialists will provide technical support to the client in various areas of expertise. These full-time positions are contingent upon contract award.Six possible openings may result from a contract award as summarized below:1. Information Security (INFOSEC) Support Specialist Support activities related to Information Security will include providing guidance and oversight for safeguarding, transmitting, and disclosing classified and controlled unclassified information, conducting reviews and inspections with adherence to security related requirements, documenting findings and recommendations of suspected security violations, and more.2. Physical Security (PHYSEC) Support Specialist Support activities related to Physical Security will include safeguarding government and contracted facilities from unauthorized access by overseeing special projects and renovations, implementing Risk Assessment processes, inspecting, analyzing and evaluating security systems, developing plans to improve and mitigate vulnerabilities, and more.3. Communications Security (COMSEC) Support Specialist - Support activities related to Communications Security will include protecting sensitive information through encryption protocols, adhering to security related requirements, performing audits on COMSEC materials, obtaining and managing security clearances for personnel, and more.4. Personnel Security (PERSEC) Support Specialist Support activities related to Personnel Security will include assessing, validating, and certifying personnel for access to sensitive compartmented information, reviewing and processing security clearances, maintaining status of pending personnel security cases, and more.5. General Security Support - Activities related to Security Program Support will include the management, administration, or performance of work in the safeguarding of information, personnel operations, and procedures among other various responsibilities. Security Administration Support will include maintaining security clearance eligibility for access of SECRET (or otherwise specified) clearances as well as responding to customer inquiries relating to security processes, procedures, and documentation. Activities related to Documentation Support will include the development and implementation of security-related Standard Operating Procedures guides, plans, and resources as well as the creation and management of audits and inspection reports. Administrative Support will include the development of security program documentation, oversight of the accuracy of all forms and records, and the security and protection of critical information per OPSEC requirements.6. Operations Security (OPSEC) Support -Activities related to Operations Security Support will include implementing and overseeing personnel, physical, and industrial security program requirements and infrastructure to ensure the execution and control of security program components (e.g. personnel and physical security, operations security, and industrial security). The contractor will provide expert customer recommendations per OPSEC training requirements, as well as work with the Facility Security Officers on processing the submission of clearances, fingerprinting, badge requests, and more.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma.Minimum two (2) years of technical security experience with the Department of Defense.Current DoD Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.Excellent communication skills, orally and in writing.Good customer relation skills and the ability to work independently.DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESBachelors degree in criminal justice, national security policy, or related field.A current DOD Top Secret Clearance.4 years experience in security programs supporting the U.S. Intelligence Community.Equal Opportunity Employerminorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity
