Robert Half International PC Support Technician in CRAWFORDSVILLE, Indiana


A client of ours in Crawfordsville, IN is currently seeking to hire an immediate need for a PC Support Technician. If you have the ability to interact with technical and non-technical users in an understandable and concise manner while solving complex technical issues, you might be the PC Support Technician our client is looking for today. If you are a self-starter and enjoy solving problems and working in a positive, dynamic environment, then we want to hear from you! This is a full time direct hire role, and will be onsite daily M-F 8-5PM. There is an on-call rotation ever 13 weeks as well.

What you do as the PC Support Technician:

  • Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and refurbish PCs, laptops, monitors, server, and other computer hardware

  • Take responsibility for technology implementation projects and carry them out

  • Assist with functionality testing and end user support

  • Install printers, and troubleshoot and repair issues

  • Take down, box and ship equipment that is outdated

  • Transfer data from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware as well as break/fix

  • Provide frequent and effective communication with ticket submitters

  • Provide documentation of daily data communication transactions, issues and repairs made or installation activities

  • Own imaging and preparation of new computers

  • Ensure sound electronic data records by adhering to company quality standards

  • Arrange repairs with the suitable vendors

  • Track equipment inventory and collaborate on potential purchases

  • Train end users on the use of new software


What you bring to the role:

  • 2+ years of experience with PC hardware and software, and an understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN

  • 1+ year supporting users in a Windows 10, Active Directory, and O365 environment

  • CompTIA A+ certification highly preferred

  • Proven knowledge of File Servers

  • Experience with Computer Imaging computers using ghost, SCCM, and Manage Engine

  • Well-founded grasp of Anti-Virus software

  • Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions

  • Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • Be able to adapt and thrive in constantly changing environments

  • Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
