Aerotek Lab Technician in Crown Point, Indiana


This position is an excellent opportunity for a self motivated, detail oriented individual to perform both routine and specialized analytical testing activities in the laboratory of a growing company.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • physical/mechanical testing of plastic films

  • instrumented analytical testing, including Karl Fischer and FTIR (routine tests include tensil test, moisture control, FTIR, soluability, and tear test)

  • entry and importing of test data

  • generating test reports

  • calibration/verification of instruments as required

  • organization and retention of required records

  • coordinate activities with other lab employees

  • perform testing of R&D products/projects as directed by management

Additional Skills & Qualifications:


-Associates in Applied Sciences (Biology or Chemistry or Physics) OR 1+ years experience as a lab technician

  • Wet bench lab skills

  • General working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)

  • Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize

  • Capable of working independently with limited supervision as well as with a team

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

PREFERRED Lab Techniques and Instrumentation:

**FTIR, Viscosity, UV-Vis, GC, Tensil Testing, Tear Testing, Automated Titrations
