Aerotek Electrical Engineer in Decatur, Indiana
Design and Develop electrical system circuit logic for the control of Recreational Vehicles and their associated devices. Examples include multiplex vehicle control systems; wire hardness design related to control systems; and electrical interfaces.
Work with a dynamic team of Engineers and Designers to create and modify the electrical systems for Recreational Vehicles.
Integrate new automotive technologies and new configurations of existing technology.
Use engineering software tools such as Computer Aided Design (CAD), Programmable Logic Control (PLC), and Mutiplex CAN-bus network programming to design, develop, and execute in a team environment.
Work with both 12 Volt DC circuits for control of vehicle functions, warning lights, entertainment, and monitoring systems.
Work with 120/240 Volt AC circuits provided on the recreation vehicle for powering vehicle functionality, lighting, fans, and all vehicle electronics.
Provide interfaces to all advanced communications and electronics equipment.
This is a hands on role driving the design concept and functionality of the product to an executable process on the shop floor. This role will be critical to development and training of the installation team building the recreation vehicle.

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
2+ years of experience within Electrical Design utilizing computer aided design software ( can be AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.)
Strong communication skills - ability to work cross functionally between engineering, operations, and production
Experience in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
Candidates need to have a strong knowledge base of Electrical Engineering - specifically electrical systems and preferably in a similar field (i.e. RV, bus, truck, van, etc.).
Experience working with NEC or RVIA Code(s)
Experience within the RV, automotive, or transportation industry
Electronic component test analysis experience (specifically within motor coaches is a huge plus)
