Description

Responsible for all aspects of marketing and conducting a training program designed to enable students to pass the State Pre-certification exam for obtaining a Nursing Assistant Certification and marketing the program.

  • Utilizes a variety of teaching methods, materials and resources for conducting training program

  • Maintains the records for the pre-certification training program including class attendance records, curriculum covered, documentation of date and hours for a minimum of 50 hours of theory and a minimum of 100 hours of clinical training, skills check-off list, Physicals and Fingerprint documentation

  • Communicates with Training Center Administrator and Program Coordinator in establishing teaching priorities, program planning and implementation

  • Maintains educational records of current and former classes held. Records shall include, but not limited to: name and title of presenter, objectives, date of presentation, title of subject presented, method of presentation, method of evaluation, content, signature and titles of attendees

  • Maintains monthly calendar containing curriculum information, training site(s) to be utilized and instructor information

  • Maintains and keeps current teaching literature and resources, including but not limited to, books, videos, etc.

Requirements

Must adhere to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics policy including documentation and reporting responsibilities

  • CPR certification

  • Completion of minimum twenty-four (24) hours of continuing education program, approved by the Board of Registered Nurses relevant to planning, implementing and evaluating educational program in nursing, i.e., Train The Trainer course

  • Approved by the Department of Health as an Instructor of an approved program

  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information

  • Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with other employees at all levels

  • Mobility, reaching, bending, lifting, grasping, fingering, fine hand coordination, ability to talk and hear; ability to read and write; ability to communicate with personnel, ability to remain calm under stress. Ability to adequately lift, support and bodily manipulate the weight of a patient.
