Polaris Industries Godfrey Marine - Sales Analyst in Elkhart, Indiana

The Sales Analyst role will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for sales related data at Godfrey Marine. The role primarily will focus on evaluating and identifying trends in sales by analyzing both industry and internal data. This involves collecting and examining data and using the information gathered to create coherent, intelligent reports. This role will have a high degree of visibility within the senior leadership team, requiring qualified candidates to have an executive presence and well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written. The successful Sales Analyst will be highly motivated, a self-starter and a great team player. High standards and attention to detail are a must in order to produce quality work.

Responsibilities for Sales Analyst

  • Compile and analyze data over time to forecast sales trends

  • Communicate with management team regularly

  • Market Share and Competitive Analysis

  • Review Dealer Inventory process to ensure the best data is available to assist with the marketing / sales / dealer network to maintain appropriate inventory levels

  • Develop enhancements and improve processes for collecting market trends and competitive data

  • Prepare accurate reports using data from internal and external sources

  • Evaluate third-party data to determine best practices for company success

  • Present actionable information and insights to team members and management

  • Gather and analyze data in order to understand problems and address them proactively

  • Collaborate with team members and members of other departments

  • Work on special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications for Sales Analyst

  • Bachelor's degree- preferred in accounting, marketing or finance

  • 3+ years in finance, accounting, marketing, or related experience

  • Strong knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software

  • Advanced problem-solving and analysis skills

  • Superior oral and written communication skills

  • High level of organization and detail-orientation

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative

  • Good attitude toward teamwork as well as the ability to work independently

  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize

  • Excellent time management
