Lippert Components, Inc Supply Chain Developer/Architect in Elkhart, Indiana

As a Solution Architect/Developer, you’ll work with internal manufacturing facilities to help identify their most pressing supply chain and operational challenges and collaborate with your supply chain planning team to design, develop, deploy, and support Kinaxis RapidResponse. Supply Chain Architects/Developers work on multifaceted projects that demand analytical thinking, creative problem-solving, effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.

You’ll work with manufacturing facilities to improve their strategies, processes and operational alignment. Our focus is on technology-enabled business transformation. Projects range from short, multi-week assessments to phased multi-month design and implementations and everything in-between. The variety of projects provides the Solution Architect with a dynamic and highly challenging opportunity to grow and learn.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Provide the connection between our manufacturing facilities strategic business leaders and LCI’s corporate teams by clearly communicating business functional issues

  • Conduct business processes and requirements analysis

  • Advise all parties involved on key architectural decisions concerning the platform and supporting technologies

  • Evaluate risks related to requirements management, business process definition, testing processes, internal controls, project communications, training, and organizational change management

  • Produce technical architectures, develop system requirements, identify resources, and estimate timelines for project completion

  • Develop deliverables related to requirement specification, process analysis, system-based and manual controls, functional design, and test plans

  • Assist in the scoping of prospective engagements, developing proposals, planning, logistics, and the execution of project management processes


  • More than five years of experience developing, supporting or implementing application software

  • Experience with Kinaxis RapidResponse a plus

  • Strong database experience preferably using MS SQL Server or MySQL

  • Experience in systems integration and ETL tools such as Informatica and Talend a plus

  • Experience integrating to ERP systems

  • Experience with data mapping and systems integration a plus

  • Functional knowledge of supply chain or after sales service operations

  • Exceptional drive, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and to immediately contribute in a team environment

  • An ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of client focus

  • Strong work ethic and high attention to detail, with a desire to learn

Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time salary position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager.


Lippert Components is headquartered in Mishawaka, IN; however, we have locations located throughout the United States, Canada, Ireland, Italy the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. The nature of our business requires some travel to plant locations. Travel tends to fluctuate depending on specific project and company needs but typically around 15%.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or other relevant technical degree; or equivalent work experience

  • Other degrees in engineering/operations research, supply chain management (SCM) or business administration are also accepted.

Preferred Experience

  • Proven ability to communicate with people at all levels, ranging from factory schedulers to high-level executives, both written and verbal, to technical and nontechnical audiences

  • Moderate understanding of strategic business goals and objectives

  • Moderate understanding of demand and supply planning

  • Moderate understanding of financial planning

  • Experience in process definition and implementation, as well as in change management

  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, as well as strong skills as a negotiator to reach consensus, buy-in and commitment

  • Deep understanding of technology enablement and current technology tools
