We are Leading with Science to provide sustainable and resilient solutions for our clients.Tetra Tech is seeking an environmental scientist or engineer (Jr. Level) with 1-3 years experience to provide support on a remediation project in Evansville, Indiana. The selected candidate must live in the Evansville geographic area. The remediation project involves excavation and restoration of residential properties throughout the City of Evansville. This position will involve providing technical support in the areas of collection of air monitoring data, field audits and inspections, organizing and reviewing data, preparing reports, file reviews, contractor oversight, and related services. This position will also serve as the Site Health and Safety officer.1-3 years experience in environmental consulting or related field. Experience with hazardous waste, site investigations, site remediation, field sampling, and air quality monitoring preferred. Knowledge of federal and state regulations is required. Must be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a team environment. Must also have the ability to manage a heavy workload. Excellent communication, client interaction, and organizational skills, as well as proficiency with MS Office applications are required. Must be able to drive a motor vehicle and pass a motor vehicle records check. B.A/B.S. in environmental science or related degree required. 40-hour OSHA certification required. Asbestos certification preferred but not required. Heavy lifting of field sampling and other equipment will be required. Candidate must also meet physical demands of hazardous waste site work. May include weekend work.
