Humana Finance Lead Technology M&A ( Home Office / Remote / Work at Home ) in Evansville, Indiana

Description

The Lead, Technology M&A performs research, IT financial analysis and modeling in advance of an acquisition in order to identify risks and synergy opportunities associated with a Target company's organization, technology capabilities, processes, applications, and infrastructure. The Lead, Technology M&A works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

Responsibilities

The Lead, Technology M&A makes recommendations regarding the technology impact of possible mergers, acquisitions and divestitures on the organization's profitability. Conducts appropriate due diligence to ensure the reliability of information provided by potential acquisition targets. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Work within the IT M&A team and with other IT stakeholders to develop, maintain and update analytical financial models, tools, and monitoring systems to forecast IT M&A project budgets.

Prepare and present requests to secure project funding (budget) approval from senior leadership in Corporate Development/IMO, Technology Advancement, Business, and IT and Corporate Finance.

Work with the Integration Leads and IT Finance to monitor and adjust budgets as required.

Develop, track and report on any transactional IT synergies.

Lead and perform the due diligence review and analysis of M&A related IT contracts for risk issues and key business terms.

Monitor and manage IT contracts through the integration process for key events (renewal, merger, etc.).

Work closely with Enterprise Category Management/Procurement Services on IT contract analysis support and disposition, and integration of vendors into Humana's P2P processes.

Support the IT M&A team on P2P requests.

Lead negotiations on vendor support contracts to support the IT M&A due diligence processes.

Ability to support multiple project due diligence efforts simultaneously.

Required Qualifications

  • a Bachelor's degree

  • 8 or more years of technical experience

  • 5 or more years of M&A leadership experience

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
