Job AdvertDuties:Serve as plant leader for Continuous Improvement. Develops, aligns, and implements continuous improvement strategyProvide direct management of CI TechnicianApply structured problem-solving analysis and statistical tools to provide risk compensated solutions to product, process, and package issuesLead development of site Root Cause Analysis and Corrective and Preventative Action processes. Facilitate these processes for key events. Develop standardized event templates and trains othersLead multiple, cross-functional project teams in the application of Continuous Improvement methodology to deliver measurable results in process improvementReview overall site performance, with a focus on top loss areas. Partner with management, supervisors, operators and maintenance and technical staff to lead and facilitate process improvement projectsProvide technical support to line managers and supervisorsDocument and track all aspects of projects, including project charters, data displays, financial benefits / costs, process flows and implementation plans. Utilize this documentation to foster best practice sharing across the organizationProvide training, coaching and mentoring to project teams on Continuous Improvement methodologyProvide influencing technical assessments and communications to key stakeholders, management, and team members regarding both daily decision making and strategic directionApply awareness of HACCP, GMP's and regulatory requirements to ongoing manufacturing processes, process design, process qualificationsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Package or Electrical) or other technical science preferred. Extensive, demonstrated Continuous Improvement experience to be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.Lean Sigma or other equivalent continuous improvement certification3 years of demonstrated Continuous Improvement experience or equivalent technical experience or education. Demonstrated Continuous Improvement leadership within a complex manufacturing organization preferred. Previous package engineering experience a plusExperience managing others in a matrix structure preferredDemonstrated capability to teach, coach and lead others in the application of Continuous Improvement toolsDemonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.Demonstrated ability to drive change within a matrix organization.Excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills. Able to effectively communicate detailed information to multiple levels of organization from Management to line operators.Demonstrates initiative, ownership and accountabilityKnowledge of manufacturing, GMP and safety processes.
