This position is responsible for all technical aspects of a product innovation project from the point of research to full production capability including all milestones, product development and performance specifications, project budget and schedule.
Coordinate and manage all aspects of product innovation projects from idea/concept, quoting, product development, unit tooling, implementation, and commercialization.
Work with the model shop for 3D printed prototype design and development.
Work with the pilot plant on installation and start-up of all new prototype mold or tooling.
Work with plant operations teams on installation and start-up of new molds or tooling.
Has authority to execute projects in order to reach the intended results. Has the power to enforce or influence behaviors or actions of the project team that are necessary to attain the results for which they are accountable.
Must be assertive, creative and data driven to keep projects on time and within budget to meet deliverables while practicing intelligent risk management (such as FMEA) with consultation from team members, peers, and senior management.
Responsible for reporting deviations on time, cost, and deliverable project components to senior management as project progresses.
Responsible for adherence to Berry, industry, and/or regulatory procedures.
Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental and department of health requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience
5 years’ experience with a multitude of manufacturing processes such as: injection molding, compression molding, blow molding, and thermoforming
Experience with 2D design and/or 3D CAD modeling programs.
Prior experience working in a product or process innovation environment.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills are required for data driven project management.
Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, be an innovative outside-the-box thinker, and be results-oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel as needed.
