Fiserv Program Analyst - Application Development in Fishers, Indiana

Fiserv's Technology Analyst Program is an early career development program where candidates experience two one-year assignments in a core functional technology role. Each assignment builds upon the other and together will provide a breadth of experience in the business world and unique to you! As part of Technology Analyst Program, you will have the opportunity to participate in complicated projects that can have significant outcomes in the business while strengthening the skills fundamental to lead in the FinTech industry. Training curriculum, mentoring, on the job learning, and exposure to senior leadership will be offered in these entry-level opportunities to advance within our company upon completing the two-year program.

Summary of Department:

Our department primarily focuses on the servicing of student loans. We employ both Agile and waterfall methodologies. The department is filled with a lot of great people to work with which has resulted in many people still in the department after 15, 20, 25 and 30+ years.

Job Description:

  • The successful candidate will be working on projects on the service layer team and the website team.

  • The candidate will have the opportunity to work with architects and team members as part of crafting the project.

  • We will try to focus the projects that the candidate works on towards the candidate's interests where possible.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Recent graduates of a bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.

  • 3.0 + GPA.

  • Experience in defining and developing high-volume, horizontally scalable architectures.

  • Experience evaluating new technologies for their appropriateness to proposed solutions, including assessing their strategic and/or tactical benefit.

  • Capable of defining / implementing both business & operational performance metrics into the application solutions.

  • Experience working with structured data formats (e.g. XML, and JSON).

  • Experience working with C#, .Net, RESTful web services and XSLT.

  • Experience working with projects requiring compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Must have good communication skills.

  • Must be self-motivated and willing to seek out additional assignments and tasks.

  • Must have strong problem-solving skills.

  • Must be able to gather and assimilate information.

  • Must be able to think strategically and evaluate options in the short, medium and long term.

  • Must be able to be adapt and prioritize.

  • Must be able to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues and solutions.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and flexible to changing priorities.
