Parkview Health-Parkview Health Scheduling Management - Full Time, Days, Monday - Friday 10am-6:30pm Posted 2018-09-06 Req # 136987 Summary Supervises and directs all activities of the Parkview Health Scheduling Schegistrar team. Maintains expert skill levels and knowledge base for scheduling, scheduling templates, and registration. Acts as first level support and coordinates any problem resolution or follow up for all automated systems including hardware and software concerns. Responsible for administering security and acting as systems administrator for software applications assigned to the PH Scheduling department. Helps increase efficiency by using automation to replace or improve time intensive manual processes. Responsible for system template builds, template blocks, and testing for PH Scheduling. Manages Scheduling questions/reactions, prep/instructions, and resource assignments within EPIC in conjunction with the ancillary and EPIC build teams. Monitors and evaluates productivity and performance metrics to ensure scheduling and registration are completed accurately and timely to support Parkview Health financial and service excellence goals. Assists Scheduling Manager in new and ongoing training, development, and education of staff. Utilizes proactive problem solving skills and resources to ensure system improvements to eliminate all PH Scheduling errors. Works closely with ancillary department managers and the revenue cycle teams to ensure efficiency and accuracy in all PH Scheduling areas. Demonstrates a commitment to customer service and presents a positive, caring, and professional image to patients, physicians, coworkers, ancillary department staff, and customers. Utilizes team concepts to facilitate communication and direction that support Parkview#s mission, vision, and values. Education Knowledge and skills normally obtained by acquiring an Associates degree in business or supervision; or the equivalent of four years additional experience in hospital management or supervisory position. Medical terminology is required. Experience # Three years in a management or supervisory position. Minimum two years in medical or related field. Must have data processing/data entry experience and ability to use data hardware, including work experience using Microsoft Office applications. Requires a minimum of two years customer service experience. Other Qualifications Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must pass the required PH Scheduling and Registration class with a 90% score, if not already a Schegistrar. Must demonstrate a basic understanding of local area networks or information systems. Must demonstrate analytical skills necessary to research, evaluate, and identify problem areas. Must demonstrate organizational skills necessary to manage several complex issues concurrently.
