The Role

Lincoln National Corporation, Fort Wayne, IN, seeks a Senior Analyst, Application Development, to develop software solutions for complex business projects and initiatives for Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) Informatica development. Create new software applications, modify existing applications, and provide post-production support. Deliver business application software solutions following the system development life cycle process and Enterprise standards. Analyze implications and financial impacts of proposed technical solutions on operational and infrastructure support. Analyze, design, code, debug, integrate, and test software application solutions for systems. Translate design requirements into Detail design and ETL mapping specifications. Identify application solutions for complex business and technical problems. Provide direction on the design and development of applications systems for Retirement Plan Services (RPS). Provide input on the development of project plans, test plans, and implementation plans, including determining estimates on timeframes, resources, and budgets. Maintain knowledge of current and emerging developments and trends for ETL, Big Data, and Data Warehouse, assess impact, and collaborate with management to incorporate new trends and developments into solutions. Identify and direct the implementation of process quality improvements. Collaborate with Infrastructure team, Security team, and other Architects to ensure integrity and security of data architecture and solution design. Design and develop communication protocols, maintain Oracle packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers and views. Provide 24x7 Support for production issues. Utilize Informatica PowerCenter tool in a development environment to develop software and warehouse solutions. Design data models, including Snowflake and Star schemas. Write database stored procedures and data definition language for Oracle database 11G and above and SQL Server database 2008 and above. Use Perl, Batch, and Unix scripting to develop software and warehousing solutions. Develop Autosys and scheduling jobs.

Requirements

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related technical field. Must be Informatica Certified. Experience must include: (7 years) Using Informatica PowerCenter tool in a development environment to develop software and warehouse solutions; (5 years) Designing data models, including Snowflake and Star schemas; (5 years) Writing database stored procedures and data definition language for Oracle database 11G and above and SQL Server database 2008 and above; (5 years) Using Perl, Batch and Unix scripting to develop software and warehouse solutions; and (3 years) Developing Autosys and scheduling jobs.
