The Role

This Sr Analyst, Business Systems Analysis represents Annuity Valuation as the areas' business systems expert on various IT initiatives that impact the Annuity business. Directs the development and maintenance of data feeds from the administrative and compensations systems to the Annuity valuation systems. Ensures the Annuity Valuation is prepared to meet regulatory requirements associated with the development of new products and the maintenance of in-force business, and ensures the quality and integrity of data feeds to the Annuity valuation systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES .

  • Coordinates the definition and analysis of valuation data extract requirements for systems and process designs.

  • Serves as liaison between valuation unit, Project Management Office, and IT vendors providing system development (such as DXC, CTS, Ensono).

  • Develops testing and/or auditing procedures to ensure ongoing data integrity.

  • Oversees testing activities from a valuation perspective to ensure timely, quality testing of all system changes impacting the valuation process.

  • Gathers data and performs analysis to evaluate the impact of product development initiatives on valuation extracts.

  • Identifies system enhancements required to meet the changing business and regulatory environment.

  • Provides direction, analysis, and decision making support for the successful resolution of valuation issues on projects.

  • Manages, tracks, and communicates the status of projects (including achievements, issues, and so on) to upper management, project participants and/or other stake holders.

  • Facilitates the resolution of complex business issues by identifying an alternative course of action based on business needs and regulatory requirements.

  • Negotiates and manages project priorities through coordination of resources with Project Leaders of Project Management Office and/or vendors.

  • Coordinates and manages the submission of valuation related Fast Tracks.

  • Maintains a broad knowledge base of the Insurance and Financial Services Industry.

  • Maintains expertise in various annuity markets, products and systems.

  • Updates and maintains, for SOX, appropriate SDLC documentation for ServiceNow incident tickets, fast tracks, independent projects, and release initiatives and monthly reconciliations.

  • Updates and maintains various admin system tables and/or files for Annuity Valuation processes.

  • Coordinates and manages the submission of valuation related incident tickets through ServiceNow and monitors progress.

  • Availability to work evenings and weekends, as needed, during month-ends and during critical periods in a project’s life cycle.

  • Participates in strategic development projects that vary in complexity including the business aspect of analysis, design and development efforts, and testing and implementation efforts.

  • Carries out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines. Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.

  • No relocation, minimal travel

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Specific and in-depth product (existing and new products) and administrative systems knowledge.

  • 3-5 years of diverse systems and business experience.

  • 2+ years of annuities experience or equivalent desired.

  • Ability to effective manage data extracts, data control and calculate liability for the business for financial set asides.#LI-AY1
