We are looking for a new colleague in the Aftermarket Quality department at our location in Garrett, IN.
Champion site quality initiatives and resources including metrics for incoming receiving & inspection
Participate and lead internal process and product improvement using lean manufacturing techniques (Six Sigma) for inefficiencies
Develop quality-process links with customers in line with the Quality Management System including IATF, PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, FMEA and Supplier Quality Assurance processes and oversee continued compliance.
Conduct statistical research to help prevent problems in the remanufacturing process and measure initiatives
Lead product specific regulatory compliance, as well as assembly build instruction compliance
Manage, coach and develop quality operation team that meets agreed objectives which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements
Work with manufacturing to implement quality improvements (e.g., defect analysis, control charts, data analysis, lead Quality and Continuous Improvement teams)
Develop and maintain customer relationships including supplier quality assurance and various warranty and distribution centers
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Six to ten years of progressive quality experience in automotive industry
Understanding of and the ability to apply the IATF standard
Six Sigma Green Belt certified
Competent in problem solving (8-D and 5 Why tools), team building and decision making
ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, preferred
Physical requirements include walking, stooping, lifting to 50 lbs. and standing for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus
