Assists with design, layout, production and publication of marketing materials and special marketing projects under the direction of the AVP, Marketing Director. Ensures visual brand consistency by adhering to brand and style guidelines. Participates in suggestions and takes direction for development and resizing of advertising campaigns used internally and externally including work such as displays, ads, direct mail, forms, digital banners, customer facing emails, social media, videos and collateral materials.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesCompletes visually appealing design work as directed by Marketing Director. Leads special marketing projects including research and develops design concepts to match corporate branding, standards, and messaging.Works on designs and coordinates physical and digital sales art and copy layouts for possible advertisements, newsletters, brochures, posters, billboards, etc to carry out concepts of projects.Projects include revising and developing print, social and video projects for final distribution to production vendor or member distribution. Operates scanning and digital camera equipment for use in production and editing of materials.Assists at summer community events such as fairs and parades to maintain social media presence, video display and other duties as assigned.Ensures that all marketing materials are reviewed appropriately to meet compliance regulations as required for advertisementsMust comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.Knowledge and SkillsExperienceMinimum of six (6) months of related experience. Experience with Adobe Suite and background in Design, Marketing, Advertising or Video Production required. Experience in a financial institution is helpful, but not required. Proficiency in advanced software programs including Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, Pagemaker), Microsoft Office Suite, and Video processing/editing software.Education/Certifications/LicensesJunior or above college level seeking Bachelors degree in marketing, graphic design, or related degree.Interpersonal SkillsNormal courtesy in dealing with others is required. Work involves minimal contacts, usually within the organization. Communications typically involve routine, non-sensitive issues.Other SkillsAbove average skills in proofreading and grammar required. Experience working in a collaborative team environment, where good ideas and experienced opinions are highly valued. Must be able to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environmentADA RequirementsPhysical RequirementsIs able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management.
