Lippert Components, Inc Maintenance Specialist in Goshen, Indiana
Responsible for working with Maintenance Director, other plant Leaders, and hourly personnel to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in standards and practices, that lead to equipment reliability across the Chassis Division. Responsible for adhering to LCI core values, safety guidelines, and lean initiatives. Responsible for conducting meaningful conversations with Production and Maintenance personnel. All Maintenance positions support operations and production first, whenever necessary.
Essential Functions
Autonomous Maintenance – Responsible for working with the preventative maintenance teams to create documents and boards that support Autonomous Maintenance; Responsible for updating and maintaining existing documents and boards as required/assigned
Field Work – Works with Maintenance and Operations personnel on the shop floor to understand and document processes
Preventative Maintenance – Responsible for entering Inspection standards into Tabware software as required/assigned; Responsible for updating existing documents and boards as required/assigned
Goals/Milestones – May be responsible for any work assigned to help the Maintenance, Safety, Quality, or Lean Groups reach their goals/milestones; Schedules, attends, leads, and participates in any meetings necessary to drive those goals/milestones
Coaching – Must become responsible for coaching World Class Maintenance methodology in all interactions with plant personnel; must be willing to challenge the status quo and encourage teams to get stronger in application of World Class Maintenance Methodology
5s for Maintenance - May be requested to assist in 5s projects that lay the foundation for World Class Maintenance

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active – while performing this job the team member is regularly standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing all day. The team member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
In addition, the team member may be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, noise, heat, cold, and wet work while performing job duties. This position requires Personal Protective Equipment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are based upon the need to support operations and production. Some Saturdays will be mandatory.
Travel
No travel will be required.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Must have history of working with and coaching team members from various backgrounds
Must have basic Windows platform computer skills with Outlook, Excel, and Power Point
Must be willing to learn additional computer skills, as needed
Must have experience with basic metal fabrication or manufacturing processes
Must successfully complete LCI new hire safety training and refreshers
Must successfully complete all LCI lean training, as required
Must successfully complete LCI Tabware Inspection App Training
Preferred Education and Experience
Basic Maintenance – Basic knowledge of facilities, machines, and plant equipment
Schematics – Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic prints
Repair – Education/Experience with machine operation and repair
Welding – Experience working in a Welding environment preferred
Coating Systems – Experience working in an environment with a powder coating system preferred
CMMS – Work with CMMS software preferred; knowledge of Tabware software a plus
Lean – Experience with preventative maintenance, world class manufacturing methodologies, predictive maintenance, 5s, lean/six sigma principles, and/or daily team maintenance preferred
CAD – Experience drafting with CAD software preferred
