Requisition #: 8892 Facility/Dept: Goshen Hospital – Cardiopulmonary Rehab (56 hrs/pay period) / Nutrition Therapy (16 hrs/pay period) Status/Shift: FT, 72 hrs per pay period, Days (Tues/Wed/Thur, 8 & 10 hr shifts in CPRS, remaining hrs under Nutrition Therapy) About Goshen Health Cardiopulmonary Rehab: We provide rehabilitation services for patients in the hospital as well as a supervised and monitored exercise program at our fitness center. Be an integral part of team of professionals that support cardiac rehab patients with an alternative lifestyle approach. The following will be included in your responsibilities: Provides nutrition education, counseling and coaching to participants in accordance to the Ornish Nutrition Prescription and guidelines. Reviews and assesses data collected from nutrition assessments. Works with an interdisciplinary team and oversees the food service for the program. Coordinates nutritional care with the healthcare provider by evaluating the plan of care, reassessment and follow-up care when the patient’s status has changed. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with the medical staff, nursing staff, and other health care team members.
Option of working 1 day per week as a Clinical Dietitian in the Nutrition Therapy Department at Goshen Hospital, a non-profit, magnet designated hospital. The Nutrition Therapy Department provides inpatient, outpatient, and home care MNT, as well as community presentations upon request. We are looking for a dynamic RDN who enjoys working with people on taking steps toward a healthier lifestyle!
Completed a minimum of a bachelor’s degree at a US regionally accredited university or college and course work accredited or approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Completed an ACEND-accredited supervised practice program at a health-care facility, community agency, or a foodservice corporation or combined with undergraduate or graduate studies.
Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
Completed continuing professional education requirements to maintain registration.
Experience in an acute care dietetics position.
2 years experience in an acute care dietetics setting.
