This person is primarily responsible for the successful execution of construction activities required for a successful project completion. This position will require periodic travel to active project sites and markets. This person will Oversee all of the Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Administrative staff. We are all “broom pushers” and want an individual with an “all hands on deck” approach to making things better, fixing problems, and assists when and if necessary (regardless if the task at hand falls within this description).

What You Will Be Doing
-Directing and overseeing construction projects from conception to completion
-Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
-Overseeing all onsite and offsite construction to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
-Coordinating and directing construction workers and subcontractors
-Selecting tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
-Meeting contractual conditions of performance
-Reviewing the work progress on daily basis
-Preparing internal and external reports pertaining to job status
-Planning ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
-Negotiating terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses
-Analyzing, managing and mitigating risks
-Ensuring quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
-Providing training and education to any of our team as needed to ensure a successful project
-Mentoring Project Engineers to further and assist their professional growth
What You Need for this Position
At Least 3 Years of experience and knowledge of:
-Experience working in construction management
-Bachelors degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field (or equal experience in such)
-Ability to create required reports: Project Schedules, Unit Turnover Schedule, Commitment Cost, Change Requests and Cost at Complete (CAC)
-Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
-Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
-Understanding of all facets of the construction process
-Familiarity with construction management software packages
-Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
-Competent in conflict and crisis management
-Leadership and HR management skills
-Excellent time and project management skills
