Environmental Quality Management, Inc. Response Manager in Hammond, Indiana

Locations: Hammond IN, Cincinnati OHEnvironmental Quality Management (EQM) a government environmental contractor performing emergency response and remedial environmental clean-up services in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota is seeking qualified response managers to work on various environmental and hazardous material sites throughout the states listed.Job Description/Job Duties:Dedicated project manager for emergency response and time critical removal actions. Serve as primary point of contact between EQM and client, responsible for: scope of work development with client; preparations of plans, submittals, and construction schedules; managing multi-disciplined personnel that may include laborers, equipment operators, scientists, engineers, and regulatory specialists; subcontractors; heavy and specialized equipment operation; health and safety plan compliance; resourcing, purchasing and financial management of task orders. Minimum four years of experience in the clean-up of hazardous substances, oil, and pollutants; prefer a bachelor's degree in related field such as physical, biological, engineering or construction management. Overtime and travel required.Skills and Experience:Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required, and current 8-hour refresher preferred if availableMust have familiarization and understanding of use and application of various types of respiratory protection and chemical hazardsValid Driver's License requiredMinimum of 2 years managing and supervising multi-disciplined responseExperience in oil, petroleum and hazardous substances disposal regulations including hazardous waste manifest completion, proper labeling and, placarding of disposal containers and waste shipments in compliance with RCRA and DOT regulationsExperience in preparation of plans, reports, and construction schedules.Experience in use cost tracking and estimating systems and daily cost reportingExperience with OSHA regulations, policy, procedures and performing as site safety officerExperience in use and calibration of field screening instruments.Experience with asbestos abatement, demolition, waste treatment, contaminated soil excavation, and environmental dredgingNo relocation or sponsorship assistance.EQM conducts pre-employment drug screen and pre-employment physicals.EQM IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER (EEO) F/M/Disabled/VetsThis Employer Participates in E-VerifyFor more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
