THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON AWARD Raytheon intends to offer a proposal in support of the solicitation to support shipboard radar antenna overhaul and repairs to include refurbishment of shipboard radar arrays and pedestals. These services will include but may not be limited to assessment, repair and testing support of antennas at contractor and customer facilities, including overhaul and refurbishment services for a wide range of shipboard radar antennas. Services to be provided at Raytheon Indianapolis and on site at NSWC Crane, Indiana. Raytheon IIS is seeking successful candidate with extensive knowledge to perform a wide variety of technical tasks in support of overhaul, repair, and testing of shipboard rotational radar systems and antenna arrays. Tests, troubleshoots, overhauls, repairs, maintains and installs a wide variety of electronic, radio frequency (RF), electromechanical, and mechanical, computer, laboratory and scientific systems and/or equipment. May assist in the development of procedures. Selects, sets up and operates engineering and scientific equipment. Observes, analyzes and reports test data; and when appropriate makes necessary repairs to equipment. Utilizes various engineering and scientific drawings, manuals and other related documentation in the performance of their tasks. May include configuration/data management. Checks for work correctness. May assist in directing work, assigning and outlining tasks. Candidate will also be responsible for training/mentoring junior test technicians. Required Skills: 6+ years’ experience in electronics industry or equivalent military electronics experience Work directly from approved procedures, schematics, and verbal instructions Troubleshoot electronic circuits to component level and effectively identify failure trends Isolate problems between the test environment (test station, interface adapter, test cables, etc.) and the units under test and resolve as necessary. Strong working knowledge in use of basic and complex test equipment to include, high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, oscilloscopes, power meters, specialized VSWR test equipment, Time Domain Reflectometers (TDRs), voltmeters, meggers, etc. Record and interpret test data (plots, graphs, tabulated parameters, etc.) to determine pass/fail condition and determine when further analysis is needed Effectively communicate technical issues by generating comprehensive failure entries which correlate failure modes back to the associated test specification(s) Well versed in computer architectures and data protocols in order to facilitate networking/interfacing with other test equipment Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing multi-pin, RF and coaxial Connectors Experienced in the use of computers and software applications (both desktop and technical) Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance Must be in good physical condition given that this position requires lifting, walking, and could involve scaffolding, stairs, ladders and climbing at the test range or shipboard. Must be willing to work all shifts Desired Skills: Direct experience shipboard rotational radar systems (example: SPQ-9, SPS-48, SPS-49, SPS-55, SPS-67, SPS-75, and SPS-77) Required Education (including Major): High School Diploma or GED Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. 116022
