Lilly Assoc Consultant Engineer-Automation in Indianapolis, Indiana
Deliver and support automation:
Investigate GMP non-conformances and provide solutions to correct system issues.
Troubleshoot and repair problems with automated control systems associated with process equipment or facility utilities
Implement technology-based solutions to support site objectives and to ensure compliance with regulations
Continuously improve automation for enhancing robustness and reliability
Ensure systems maintain compliance with relevant corporate and local quality, engineering, and computer systems policies and procedures
Computer Systems Validation:
Serve as a system custodian for one or more systems
Assist with researching, creating, reviewing, and approving validation deliverables and documentation as necessary
Coach and mentor others, especially instrumentation technicians and automation technicians
Strong customer focus
Continuously develop technical skills, communication, project management, and leadership
Professional Engineering License
Must be able to use required personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
Apply fundamental engineering principles to process understanding, problem solving and process improvement.
Knowledge of process automation
PLC Programming and/or programming understanding
Process experience in a Manufacturing or Packaging Environment.
Read, write, and speak English fluently
Strong Root Cause Analysis understanding
Lean Six Sigma
Overnight travel may be required.
On call support during off shift to support packaging operation
Flex hours possible

Associate Consultant Engineer-Automation
Bachelor of Science degree Engineering (mechanical and/or electrical) with a minimum experience post degree of 2 years in a regulated environment (cGMP equivalent)
