Purpose of Position/Summary:The Test Automation Specialist will provide technical assistance to the Quality Assurance staff member(s) responsible for implementing test automation for the Unemployment Insurance System (Uplink). The incumbent will collaborate, consult, and make recommendations with regard to the selected test automation tools and will execute to the test automation project plan initially prioritizing automation of the Uplink regression test suite. This will include applying technical expertise for overcoming test automation challenges associated with data creation and complex testing scenarios. Additionally, the incumbent will help with developing automated test cases, as well as with creating a plan for updating and maintaining automated tests.Representative Responsibilities :Establish immediate rapport with Quality Assurance Staff in order to identify data needs and related test automation software issues;Evaluate existing test automation tools;Recognize and define problems by applying thorough technical analysis;Recommend test automation solutions;Provide test automation expertise, knowledge transfer, and training for Quality Assurance Staff;Prepare automated tests;Assist with defining and executing plan for updating and maintaining automated tests.Job Requirements:Proven ability to deliver high quality test automation solutions;A minimum of five (5) years test engineering experience;Experience with test automation tools (Katalon preferred);Experience with entire SDLC/STLC processes;Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;Excellent interpersonal communication skills;Ability to work as part of a team;Ability to take ownership of work items and follow through with minimal direction;Detail oriented;Commitment to working with high level of accuracy;Understanding of quality assurance best practices and methodologiesWhat We're Looking For:You're an ideal candidate if you have a BS degree in Business or Computer Science and/or 5+ years of applicable experience.
