The Business Analyst II or III is responsible for serving as the liaison between the business and IT in translating complex business needs into application software.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Ability to query EDW and IngenioRx Pharmacy Claims using Microsoft Excel and Access to identify areas of opportunity to enhance care gap closure rates and track quality and cost savings opportunities.
Determines specific business application software requirements to address complex business needs and implement solutions, including Electronic Medical Record projects, Team Tracking Tools, Quality and Cost Tools.
Develops project plans and identifies and coordinates resources, involving those inside and outside the business unit.
Creates and works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing for population health management tools.
Acts as a resource to users of the software to address questions/issues and solution defects for provider tools including: Population Health Management Health Provider Tool, Medication Adherence Reporting, Cost of Care Tool Maintenance and Updating.
May provide direction and guidance to team members and serves as an expert for the team related to healthcare analytics.

Business Analyst II: Requires a BS/BA degree, 3-5 years related business analysis experience, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
Business Analyst III: Requires a BS/BA degree, 5-7 years of business analysis experience that includes knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations; or any combination of education and experienced, which would provide an equivalent background.

Experience in Business Functional Testing for pharmacy Benefits and Clinical domains preferred
Solution Assessment, Test Plans and UAT
Technical and Desktop
JIRA Experience Preferred
Electronic Medical Record Experience Preferred
E-prescribing Experience Preferred
Comfortable using MS SharePoint and Office, especially Excel (Macro creation)/Access, and Visio
SQL proficiency preferred
PBM Experience Preferred
User Acceptance Testing experience for Clinical Programs Preferred
Prior experience with Health Plans a plus (Commercial/Medicaid/Medicare)
EDI/Rx Transactions a plus
Medical Claims Experience a plus
