Title : Business Systems Analyst
The Marketing Automation Technical Operations (MATO) team operates within and supports Salesforce’s global Digital Marketing organization. Our technology, processes, and staff support a large percentage of Salesforce’s Lead Generation pipeline, along with maintaining and synchronizing Email Preferences across the company’s technology infrastructure.
We are looking for experts who just "get" technology more than most, those who seek to understand where others stop. Those who come across a complex new topic or problem and are excited to take it apart and learn what can be done, both in the UI, and under the hood. What Are We Looking For?
MATO is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) who can work within a product team to collaborate with stakeholders and business partners across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and the ecosystem of technology that we use and support on critical M&A engagements. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will provide guidance throughout the life of a project from the initial phases of identifying business requirements to developing and executing strategies for flawless execution. In this role you will be responsible for obtaining a deep level of understanding into end-to-end business processes and have the ability to translate those processes into concise, concrete requirements for our projects, primarily for M&A.
Successful Business System Analyst candidates are knowledgeable, confident and enthusiastic about perpetually learning, as well as, excited to share that knowledge with their teams and partners. They translate the business needs into actionable requirements by gathering critical information to make a solution possible, as well as, help drive clarity to make rational decisions. They are responsible for gathering, organizing, analyzing, and documenting business requirements in shareable, actionable, standardized formats.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Act as liaison between internal team members, business stakeholders, and other cross-functional teams
Drive business requirements gathering, documentation, change requests, and requirements traceability
Analyze business processes and document as-is and to-be business process flows
Become the functional expert for the business process and write the use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Work with the delivery team to identify test case scenarios, coordinating on all phases of end-to-end and UAT testing to ensure requirements are accounted for
Identify and manage cross-functional and cross-technical dependencies
Anticipate and communicate blockers, conflicts, and obstacles
Connect-the-dots between business strategies and project deliverables
Considered a subject matter expert of the products and features delivered by the team and used by our business partners/end-users
Publish and evangelize proven practices for team, program, technology, and customer success across teams and disciplines
Attend, participate, and contribute across all scrum team rituals including but not limited to stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint retrospective, sprint demos, and releases
Technical and Functional Skills:
4+ years of experience, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
4+ years in the following roles: business systems analysis or product management
Experienced with Marketing Cloud, CRM (Salesforce / Sales Cloud) and/or equivalent CRM applications
Experienced with Business Requirements planning, gathering, and documentation in the software development lifecycle
Experienced and knowledgeable about general Business Processes
Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies
Has innate problem solving, attention to detail, and analytical skills
Demonstrates deep subject matter expertise in the jobs of the business users in scope
Solid project management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks
Effective collaboration skills in virtual or co-located settings
Runs effective meetings and demonstrates the ability to facilitate, brainstorm, and build consensus
Experience in planning and execution of workshops, interviews, and surveys
Demonstrates good judgment and thoughtful rationale when making decisions
Preferred Qualifications - but not required:
Salesforce Certifications - Admin, Sales Cloud, Developer, other
Experience working with and leading global teams
