Deloitte Conflicts Manager in Indianapolis, Indiana
As part of the ICN Conflicts team, you will be an enabler of growth by identifying and managing quality, risk, conflicts of interest and independence threats that Deloitte faces in the marketplace.
Work you'll do
Management positions in the ICN Conflicts team provide a challenging opportunity for high visibility and frequent consultation with proposal teams, Lead Client Service Partners (LCSPs), Functional Risk Leaders, ICN Partners, Principals, Managing Directors and Senior Managers, and DTTL member firm conflict teams in identifying and resolving potential conflicts of interest. We assist practitioners of all the U.S. Firms' subsidiaries and interact with other DTTL member firms, exposing us to all of Deloitte's business and service offerings.
Day-to-day activities include:
Working closely with proposal teams and LCSPs on Conflicts consultations regarding policy and procedures and assist with the resolution of developing issues
Supervise and review the work of analysts both in the U.S. and India as well as conducting performance appraisals
Develop and lead team wide trainings
Contribute to the further development of procedures and implementing improvements to meet the ever changing and increasing demands on the team
Keep abreast of current regulatory and other developments that may impact Deloitte's conflict checking activities.
The Independence & Conflicts Network (ICN) Conflicts team performs a critical consultative, quality-assurance and risk-management function for the Deloitte US Firms, helping the organization remain unbiased and free from conflicts of interest, in fact and appearance, when providing services or entering into business or financial relationships. Conflicts of interest standards and independence requirements are defined by specific sets of policies, external rules and regulations. Being free from conflicts of interest and maintaining the independence of the Deloitte US Firms is essential to the business and reputation of Deloitte.
5+ years of related work experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical, technical, and organizational skills with an emphasis on detail
Demonstrated ability to manage a team amidst multiple projects
Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and a willingness to learn or take on new skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of professional and regulatory requirements that affect public accounting firms (IFRS / AICPA / SEC / PCAOB), including restrictions on the services that may be provided to audit clients
Prior project management, data management, or business analysis experience is a plus
Experience interacting with or managing database-driven applications in support of business processes
