Our ability to analyze competitor data and other external trends to drive decision-making is a critical element of executing our strategy.The Consultant, Competitive Analytics, will collaborate with the broader RandD strategy team as well as other research and therapeutic area stakeholders to provide actionable analyses which will inform decisions and strategies for scientists, project teams, and management in line with corporate initiativesResponsibilities:Competitive Analysis:Create and execute analytical frameworks and techniques which distill competitive data to discover findings, draw conclusions, and produce actionable competitive intelligence that enables insights to support key decisions and strategic initiatives.Leverage mathematical tools and data modeling to spot patterns in the competitive environment.Develop automated processes, where appropriate, to work over raw data and optimize analytical capabilities, increase quality, and increase accuracy of analyses and outputs with high attention to detail.Collaborate with the broader RandD Strategy organization to obtain key stakeholder input on analytical conclusions and communications, incorporating feedback to develop new analyses and reporting capabilities.Effectively and concisely communicate analyses to key customers (e.g. figures, tables, and verbal conclusions to scientists, project teams and leadership) while demonstrating excellent mastery of the subject matter and an ability to professionally defend the analyses.Attend select scientific conferences to analyze data and lead debrief activities with key stakeholders to further enable impactful analyses.Combine information from both traditional and non-traditional sources, all within the guidelines of our competitive intelligence policy.Data management and process improvement:Work with the broader RandD Strategy team to monitor and communicate progress towards sustainability goals for our portfolio, including speed, success rates, and value creation.Own the creation and sustainability of data analytics principles, integrating into competitive intelligence processes with a continuous improvement mindset.Serve as the expert in information/data sharing platforms improving the awareness and availability of competitive intelligence information.Represent competitive analytics on cross-functional data, system, and analytical improvement initiatives.Design and maintain data systems and databases for continuous analytical improvements, including coaching colleagues on best practices to focus on data integrity, attention to detail, and efficiency.Anticipate and lead functional improvement efforts, including process updates and new analytical frameworks, to enable faster and more efficient work to meet evolving business needs.Basic Qualifications:Four-year degree, preferably in a health-related, scientific, or engineeri
