Contributes to the ongoing achievement of the organization's clinical, financial, and service goals through the application of clinical expertise to material resource and change management. Applies clinical knowledge to the established value analysis process; product utilization reviews and product change management processes; and serves as liaison between materials services and clinical areas. Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations to lead change, improving financial, clinical, and patient outcomes and facilitates interactions between clinical and non-clinical staff. Clears all new clinical products being introduced system wide.
This position will report to the Director of Pharmacy Purchasing and Logistics. Duties include managing and auditing drug contracts, pricing, and rebates. There is also an element of recommending drug primaries based on price files and supply. At a higher level, this person would help with creating and maintaining reports and dashboards for The Pharmacy Purchasing and Logistics Team.
Andy candidate should have a strong background in IT, with Oracle and Swisslog knowledge preferrable. This position will work with various IU Health departments as well as outside vendors, making interpersonal skills a priority.
Position is full-time, day shift. Specific work hours may vary, based on need.
• Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of related experience required, experience in healthcare preferred.
• Requires knowledge in business application computer skills, PCs, and spreadsheet applications.
