Description:
Responsible for demonstrating the Danaher Business System (DBS) tools to drive site critical metrics including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity. The successful applicant will be responsible for oversight of cell level daily management and ensuring all elements are maintained. The applicant will ensure metric misses are led through the Kaizen process including the organization, running, and sustaining of Kaizen events and Kaizen funnel.
In addition, the role will include the continued development of the DBS culture at the Indianapolis site through the use of DBS: Fundamentals, Growth, Lean, and Leadership
Role and Duties
Work with Site Leadership Team to develop process improvement strategies based on business needs:
Daily Management Adherence
Facilitate the “Problem Solving Process” (PSP) class
Kaizen Funnel Review
Facilitate/participate in Kaizen events
Support Action Plan creation and follow-up
Develop future certified DBS practitioners in DBS tools
Apply continuous improvement methods in Lean, Leadership & Growth:
Lean principles of teamwork, methodology, business benefit, innovation and customer focus
Subject matter expertise in DBS tools (Lean Conversion, Problem Solving, SMED, Standard Work, 5s, Visual Project Management etc…)
Lead transformational change and work on identifying & prioritizing opportunities across the plant
Coordinate benchmarking and external analysis (Subject Matter Experts, Workshops, company visits, etc.)
Identify and share standard methodologies
Educate, communicate and excite the organization in DBS:
Develop and lead teams to embrace the culture to promote standard methodology sharing across the plant and within the corporation
Generate understanding & use of DBS across the site
Develop and promote common DBS Language throughout the site
Foster an environment where people are engaged and embrace DBS
Position Competencies

Ability to interact with all levels of the business (senior leaders to working teams), exceptionally good listening skills, able to present complex or new ideas with clarity and simplicity.

Planning and Execution: Excellent project management and prioritization skills. Solid intuition for business. Able to deliver results in a shifting environment.
Analytical Problem Solving: Able to identify problems; apply structured and disciplined methodology to identify root cause using data. Innovative and effective solution development, risk mitigation and execution. Hands-on experience with Danaher PSP process.
Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering and 5+ year experience relevant field
