The Lilly Professional Apprenticeship Program is a 12-month intensive fixed duration (FDE) professional development program during which the apprentice receives a combination of formal training, on-the-job learning, and mentoring in a key functional area to be equipped to compete for a Lilly position after successful completion of the apprenticeship.
We seek a dynamic individual who will partner with research, information technology and the external academic and industry community to ensure that Lilly proprietary and external open data assets are Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR). The Data Operations apprentice will aid in the inventory and documentation aspects of curating data while learning new skills in ingestion, annotation, integration, storage, security & access, and data integrity.
Manage and execute the processes for ingestion, inventory, annotation, integration, storage, security & access, integrity, and documentation for data of interest to Lilly Research.
Identify, procure, and manage data of interest to Lilly that will be used as shared information for key research initiatives; including finding and learning about new resources and vetting their applicability to thetask
Be a strong advocate for the use of the FAIR data principles both within Research IT and across Lilly Discovery Research
Ensure data is delivered with full understanding and adherence to all applicable quality, privacy and information security policies.
HS Diploma or Equivalent and 3 or more years of related or professional experience. Proven experience with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

At least 1 year of college and/or associate degree in a related field.
