Job Location

The Director Oncology Access Solutions position is located in Indianapolis, IN.

Job Duties

The Director of Oncology Access Solutions will partner with multi-specialty disease groups to develop and champion innovative solutions that meet the needs of the various patient populations, ensuring timely access to care, records receipt and financial resources. Aligned with the network Access & Revenue Cycle functions, the director is responsible for the centralized new patient intake center and leads a team of managers and staff who support the registration and access functions in each of the cancer centers. This role serves as a leader, innovator, and change agent, pushing the boundaries of current access solutions and evolving ways in which patient needs are met (phone, chat, digital). Ensuring timely access to care across the medical, surgical, and radiation oncology specialties, this role ensures the necessary systems, processes, and resources are available to ensure “exceptional care, simply delivered” across a complex, multi-disciplinary care delivery system.


  • Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience advancing access in oncology.

  • Experience implementing innovative technology to produce results.

  • Experience using process improvement tools to hardwire efficient processes.

  • Demonstrated leadership, program planning and implementation experience.


Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred. Extensive, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.


  • Understanding of external/internal customer’s needs.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills including composition, presentation and data display.

  • Must possess exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects, build relationships, influence, and support team building among physicians and administrators.

  • Demonstrated ability to connect present activities to the achievement of an overall strategic vision (visionary thinking).

  • An understanding of systems and the ability to apply systems thinking when solving problems

  • Computer and information management skills, research skills, and the ability to develop proficiency in the use of a technology.

  • Skilled in the ability to overcome barriers to improvement and resistance to change.
