We are looking for Director of Product Management who will obsess about continuously improving our ability to protect customer data and respond to vulnerabilities and threats to our world-wide footprint. The ideal candidate will be skilled at managing a portfolio of security and compliance goals across a matrixed organization, balanced with customer value and developer experience.

As a leader for the Marketing Cloud Platform Security team, you will manage a portfolio of programs to ensure that our services maintain the highest levels of security and compliance to enable vulnerability assessment, triage, patching, and response capabilities at scale across Marketing Cloud Messaging and Journeys. You will build meaningful relationships with teams and management in many Salesforce business units to drive implementation, execution, metrics, and sustainability of program objectives that allow security operations to continuously improve our ability to protect and respond to vulnerabilities and threats to our world-wide footprint.

This role has a unique blend of strategy and execution requiring someone who can set a vision for the team but also execute the vision working with their immediate team, partnering and influencing the GRC (Governance, Compliance, Risk) service delivery leaders, and business partners across the security and technology organizations. Additionally, we are looking for someone with a blend of both strong portfolio management skills and Cyber Security GRC experience. The ideal candidate would be comfortable challenging the status quo, but also deliver consistency in operations to ensure the team meets/exceeds our commitments and scales for success in the future.

Responsibilities include:

  • Own the product vision and roadmap that synthesizes the needs of customers over the long and short term. Be an expert on the jobs to be done and proposed solution of your product vision. Understand how the vision will be delivered by the engineering team and provide input.

  • Act as the subject-matter expert for solutions owned by your team including the SSDL (Salesforce Secure Development Lifecycle) or equivalent secure software development best practices.

  • Deliver security, detection and response oriented products, features and integrations to market which drive significant incremental value for our customers

  • Use quantitative data to inform decisions and measure impact of changes

  • Conduct user research and use informed customer and developer feedback to drive improvements to the customer and product development experience throughout the development lifecycle

  • Anticipate blockers, conflicts and obstacles, and address appropriately to solve them.

  • Drive alignment with the leadership of the Salesforce central Security organization on priorities and collaborate closely with engineering leaders and teams to deliver measurable outcomes and improvements

  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives as a delivery component, representing their team's work with a small number of dependencies.

Education/Experience Required:

  • 10+ years of related Product Management, Portfolio Management and GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) experience or equivalent experience

  • Experience with IT SOX Audit a plus

  • Experience with Agile development methodology and Test-Driven Development

  • Experience using telemetry and metrics to drive operational excellence

  • Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience presenting to executive leadership teams

  • MS in Informatics, System Design, Product Management or related field, or

  • BA or BS in any field plus relevant job-related experience
