As one of the nation’s largest single-source providers of lighting and electrical products, electrical services, electrical construction, and energy management solutions Facility Solutions Group is expanding their staff and seeking anElectrical Construction Project Managerto join ourFSG - Indianapolis team.
AnElectrical Construction Project Manager isresponsible for overseeing and contributing to electrical projects. The EPM is in charge of managing all aspects of electrical tasks and delegating responsibilities to electrical professionals. In all tasks, the project manager must follow safety regulations and company policies regarding installation and maintenance.
Our project managers are responsible for oversight and monitoring the end-to-end project implementations process, and are supported by a strong project management system, and administrative support team.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be willing to work long hours, and travel as needed. We are seeking candidates with strong and positive organization skills to join our team.
AnElectrical Construction Project Managerwill:
Continually build, develop and grow vendor, subcontractor and field personnel relationships throughout entire process to assure success of the project.
Develop project staffing plans to include labor, subcontractors, and project engineers.
Act as liaison between local facility staff and regional team members.
Monitor, control and report on financial performance of projects
Estimate, negotiate and procure vendors and materials for project.
Communicate project goals with field personnel in the electrical and lighting trade.
Communicate complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or any other stakeholders.
Oversee participation in all aspects of job site safety and adherence to OSHA standards
Manage numerous work orders and service calls on a national level.
Manage, motivate and continuously improve team members.
The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements and qualifications:
At least 3 to 5 years of field experience in Project Management, Project Engineering (or related) and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management or Business. Alternatively, individuals with equivalent field experience should also apply (associates degree + 8 years field experience, e.g.)
Knowledge of the electrical commercial and industrial construction industry and products
Strong computer skills with Accu-Bid, Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Electrical license highly preferred
Must have Valid Driver’s License.
Must be able to pass drug and background screen
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Ability to multitask while staying organized
Positive customer service skills
Accu-Bid software experience a plus
PMP a plus, but not necessary
