The Electrical Development Engineer will:
Work on a development team dedicated to developing the drive systems of the future
Be hands-on by building and testing your own concepts
Act as the electrical technical expert for the team
Analyze the requirements, capabilities and performance of these products
Design, develop, and lead tests to qualify new products and to support changes to existing products
Use CAD programs to develop concepts
Procure components and services for development of prototype hardware
Assemble and evaluate the performance of prototype hardware
Communicate at all levels regarding the technical details of new and existing products.
Work with Intellectual Property department to ensure appropriate protection of new mechatronics or robotic product ideas.
Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
Demonstrates a commitment to maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment. Follows safety regulations and actively contributes to work safety.
We are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S./BSME) from four-year college or university; Electrical Engineering background highly preferred
Experience managing new product development preferred
Experience with robotics, controllers, or electric motors is a plus!
Proven track record of leading product development projects
Experience in drive train design and development a plus
Must have working knowledge of Project Management Software, MS Office, MiniTab, CAD software
Self-motivated with ability to take ownership and participate in “hands-on” projects
Demonstrated resourcefulness, creativity, critical thinking, problem solving
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
