The Electrical Development Engineer will:

  • Work on a development team dedicated to developing the drive systems of the future

  • Be hands-on by building and testing your own concepts

  • Act as the electrical technical expert for the team

  • Analyze the requirements, capabilities and performance of these products

  • Design, develop, and lead tests to qualify new products and to support changes to existing products

  • Use CAD programs to develop concepts

  • Procure components and services for development of prototype hardware

  • Assemble and evaluate the performance of prototype hardware

  • Communicate at all levels regarding the technical details of new and existing products.

  • Work with Intellectual Property department to ensure appropriate protection of new mechatronics or robotic product ideas.

  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

  • Demonstrates a commitment to maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment. Follows safety regulations and actively contributes to work safety.

We are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S./BSME) from four-year college or university; Electrical Engineering background highly preferred

  • Experience managing new product development preferred

  • Experience with robotics, controllers, or electric motors is a plus!

  • Proven track record of leading product development projects

  • Experience in drive train design and development a plus

  • Must have working knowledge of Project Management Software, MS Office, MiniTab, CAD software

  • Self-motivated with ability to take ownership and participate in “hands-on” projects

  • Demonstrated resourcefulness, creativity, critical thinking, problem solving

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
