Dow Chemical Emergency Response and Security Center of Expertise in Indianapolis, Indiana

Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont™ has an exciting opportunity for a Emergency Response and Security (ER&S) Center of Excellence Expert. This position will support the Corteva Agriscience™, Global Emergency Response and Security (ER&S) Center of Expertise (CoE) Leader and broader organization with specific expertise related to all aspects of technical security and security systems integration for facilities in Corteva Agriscience™ . This position will also provide support globally to ensure best practices are understood and implemented based on company requirements and local regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand the strategy and associated plans for the ER&S organization and utilize expertise to develop processes and tools to assist implementation and compliance.

  • Work with ER&S CoE team to establish strategy, priorities, resources and systems.

  • Actively participates in external associations and partners with other companies to leverage improvements and best practices.

  • Assists in developing strategy, policies, processes, tools, and expertise in technical and physical security.

  • Coordinates, leads and facilitates technical security improvement efforts with cross-functional teams (e.g. Information Technology, Purchasing, Engineering, etc.).

  • Provide expertise resources to support investigations and follow up as required.

  • Share knowledge/experience with facility personnel

  • Work with expertise and regional resources to ensure compliance with all country and local requirements related to security and life safety.

  • Audit facility security plans and program against regulatory and company requirements and industry standards.

  • Provide training to ER&S and facility resources as needed.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through training, reviewing professional literature, networking, and participation in professional associations.

  • Input and review on the development and implementation of all technical security requirements, work processes, and standards.

  • Regular engagement with functional and business partners to understand new and ongoing initiatives.

  • Help develop training for resources and works with the CoE to utilize Management of Change tool to ensure effective training and implementation of all changes and improvements.

  • Mentor/coach other ER&S CoE members, Regional leaders and facility ER&S implementation personnel to improve proficiency and development for future roles.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

  • 10 years’ experience in managing security systems and technology.

  • Physical Security Professional (PSP®) certification is preferred.

  • The Role will require a strong understanding of ER&S Work Processes.

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

  • Good knowledge of applicable laws and regulations that apply to security.

  • Making decisions consistent with the vision and strategy for the function and articulating these decisions to key stakeholders.

  • Facilitating the leveraging of technical expertise globally.

  • Developing and maintaining open and clear communications and processes for issue resolution within the ER&S team and with cross-functional partners.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts with non-technical partners.

  • Self-motivated independent thinker.

  • Excellent training and presentation skills.

  • Ability to analyze technical writing and regulations.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities.

  • Excellent consultation, facilitation, and influencing skills.
