Salesforce is looking for a Sr. Business Analyst / Project Manager with an extensive background in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) delivering global and scalable solutions in HRIS systems while connecting key business processes, identifying key milestones and activities, and collaborating with multiple cross-functional stakeholders, partners, and specialists. This role will support the ES M&A deal lead in ES, integration planning and execution, and focus on the end-to-end acquired employee experience. This role requires a quick-learner with experience ramping on new projects quickly, learning about a target company’s technology and business processes, and translate the use cases in detail to ES stakeholders with ease. The successful candidate in this role will be an advocate for the interests of the ES organization, while at the same time supporting the the long range ES technology roadmap and fiscal planning.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Provide expertise in business analysis, requirements gathering, facilitation and needs analysis:

  • Defines business requirements, creates practical specifications and performs fit/gap analysis.

  • In conjunction with M&A, research, evaluate, recommend and implement high quality business process improvements utilizing Salesforce enterprise platforms.

  • Assess risks and impacts of the target company’s business requirements, process changes, and changes to schedule.

  • Accurately and effectively communicate ES COE/stakeholder needs to bridge the gap between business areas and enterprise platforms.

  • Pending deal volume and complexity, may focus on one or more concurrent deals at a time.

  • Support ES Technology & Transformation leadership in the prioritization of backlog items at both a global and regional level, while managing stakeholder expectations and IT capacity demands

  • Understand and interpret the diverse issues and requirements of stakeholders which may sometimes conflict and facilitate/negotiate with stakeholders to design solutions that meet overall business needs.

  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, convert high-level information into details, convert technical information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.

  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and other business analysis techniques.

  • Partner with IT and IT M&A to assess solutions and potential impacts or risks to solve for business needs

  • Facilitate end-to-end business analysis from needs through UAT and release

2. Manage project plans, timelines, and risk:

  • Build and manage detailed project management plans to support the successful completion of all ES acquisition milestones and activities from due diligence through employee onboarding and integration

  • Manage a project status dashboard to publish key project milestones, upcoming activities, UAT, etc.

  • Create and manage an issues and risks log ensuing owners are assigned and items are being driven through to resolution in a timely fashion

  • Keep key enhancement needs, progress and issues surfaced to executive teams

  • Ensure the wider stakeholder representatives are kept informed of all backlog & project updates

3. Build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships and gain consensus with all internal and external stakeholders:

  • Serve as a conduit between the ES M&A Center of Excellence and the IT product teams through which requirements flow.

  • Use experimentation and proof of concept to quickly iterate and build consensus.

  • Support the ES M&A planner with backlog prioritization.

  • Partner with HRIS team for upcoming deals and data conversion

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business or related field

  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and data

  • Background with 2+ years related to Mergers & Acquisitions

  • 3-5 years of HRIS/HR analyst experience or experience at a top consulting firm working on HR/IT projects

  • 2+ years of Workday/ experience

Desired Experience:

  • Experience with Salesforce products (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.)

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)

  • Project Management or Business Analyst Certification
