You are:

An Ambitious Contributor who can Review design drawings, make improvements and perform data analytics . You are a Loyal individual who will contribute in providing best in class designs with optimized solutions that will propel Pitney Bowes into the future

You will:

  • Work with the Engineering department to develop project specific requirements

  • Meet with the design teams and create facility test fit designs.

  • Work with Corporate Real Estate to assist in the vetting and sizing of the optimal facility

  • Engage in material handling vendors and assist in securing bids for the work

  • Oversee the onsite construction of the conveyors, automation equipment, racking and other warehouse equipment (safety) to ensure the project is progressing as designed.

  • Work with the vendors and address any concerns as they arise as it pertains to design changes.

Ensure project key timelines are met and project stays on track to be completed on time

  • Track all operational costs associated with the project

  • Pre project data analysis for business case development

  • Pre project data analysis for business case development

  • Post project data analysis to ensure key metrics are tracking positively

  • Work with vendors during the design phase of the project

  • Build design models

  • Build simulation models

  • Provide completed drawings of each facility and maintain them as changes within the facilities occur

Qualifications

As a Facility Design/Industrial Engineer, you have:

  • Minimum 5 years industrial engineering and network operations experience within the logistics industry, preferably in a small a parcel environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field required

  • Proficient with AutoCad and other design software

  • Familiar with Simulation modeling

  • Six Sigma certification or similar

  • Proficient in OSHA standards and Local Codes as it pertains to warehouse layouts and equipment.

  • Must be a team player with a strong work ethic, as well as excellent people and organizational skills.

  • Proven people management skills and abilities.

  • Strong analytical skills and structured problem solving skills.
