Job Location

The Food Services Coordinator position is located at Lutheran Child and Family Services in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Job Duties

  • Maintains staffing schedules and monitors budgetary constraints of the Food Services department.

  • Assists in the preparation and service of daily meals to the department's customers while maintaining quality, sanitation, and safety standards.

  • Occasional driving between worksites.

Experience

Five (5) years of food service experience preferred.

Education

High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s Degree in Food Service Management, Dietetics, Culinary Arts, or similar field is preferred.

License

A valid driver's license, insurance, and driving record that adheres to CHI policy guidelines.

ServSafe certification required.

Skills

  • Ability to interact effectively with residents, families, personnel from other departments, supervisors, and peers.

  • Ability to work in a team setting.

  • Ability to demonstrate and provide examples of continuous personal development and improvement in each of the essential functions in the section below.

  • Must have the knowledge of and ability to perform daily functions of the food service operations, as well as, the technical skills to operate and clean equipment, food preparation, procurement and service, sanitation and safety.
