CSG Digital Success Experience (DSE) team is a Global team who works in concert with our cross-functional partners across Salesforce to provide ALL our customers with a seamless personalized success experience built to deliver results, reduce time to value, help customers maximize their Salesforce investment and secure the renewal. We drive innovation as ONE CSG by listening to our customers, leveraging data-driven insights and building best in class success programs. The Technology team within DSE develops, designs and builds technology solutions that enable data-driven customer interactions that optimize customer experience and impact customer adoption and loyalty.

Role Description:

The Interactive Developer works within the Salesforce CSG Digital Success Experience team to own the development, coding and launching of website pages, in-app guidance, and other Digital Success assets. This role focuses primarily on translating stated business objectives into actionable solutions and understanding communication needs and data streams. This includes designing and documenting solutions to leverage automation, dynamic content, data-driven segmentation, and other sophisticated capabilities to maximize our success.

This role includes coding responsive HTML landing pages and emails and using scripting languages (javascript, jQuery, and others), automation, and database tools to execute data-driven email campaigns. In addition, the Interactive Developer is responsible for collaborating with other members of the team to test functional and rendering quality for new solutions, and for preparing the ongoing programs for execution.

Your Impact:

  • Code, test, debug and document web pages and other digital success assets using appropriate processes, tools, frameworks, libraries, patterns, best practices and standards

  • Upon receipt of approved final creative assets, manage all assets and their organization

  • Work with the business to understand key campaign parameters and inputs, such as audience, degree of personalization, and overall creative approach

  • Collaborate with other members of the team to provide best practice recommendations

  • Instill confidence through maturity, expertise, and impeccable communications (written and verbal)

  • Optimize applications for maximum speed

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with existing solution and resolve these issues in a timely and accurate manner

  • Review your own code for quality and participate in code review sessions

Basic Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Web Design and Development, Web Programming, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; or equivalent experience with demonstrated proficiency

  • 4+ years experience in front-end web development with strong knowledge of hand-coding HTML and CSS, as well as scripting languages such as JavaScript, Actionscript, Coldfusion, or VB Script

  • Experience with Salesforce platforms (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Heroku)

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database fundamentals

  • Object-oriented JavaScript, including use of JQuery, Angular, Node, Backbone , angularjs, React

  • Ability to write well-abstracted, reusable code templates and design and execute test plans

  • Strong knowledge of frameworks such as Bootstrap

  • Ability to adapt to short sprint cycles (2 weeks) and experienced in the full software lifecycles from design to deployment


  • Experience testing and troubleshooting in multiple browsers with a strong sense of web design and user experience fundamentals

  • Ability to understand business goals and translate technical and non-technical information to and from business teams

  • Ability to work effectively within a team, through task delegation, solutions design, and technical development, in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines with minimal oversight

  • Knowledge of XML, JSON, JQuery, PHP, ASP, and Object Oriented Programming is a plus

  • Software engineering methodologies, including Agile-oriented development
