The role of a Sr. Global Credit Analyst is to analyze customers’ financial data to ensure the proper valuation of default and collections risk. This position is vital for Salesforce to ensure proper credit evaluation is given to new customers and reduce the potential for uncollectible accounts from the AR by placing them with third party agencies for recovery. This position partners with sales leaders , internal finance and legal stakeholders and senior leadership to assist in supporting deal conversion.
This role requires an individual’s ability to provide sound judgement under potential tense situations and ensure the ability to provide timely communication of Credit concerns as they arise to Credit Management and Sales. Individuals should also have a working understanding of SOX controls and maintaining proper security controls in relation to financial data.
Determines and develops approaches to risk (default and collections) both at a customer and portfolio level through financial analysis and credit review
Manages credit risk portfolio for defined business or country
Solves a broad range of credit and process problems of varying scope and complexity
Independently interacts/negotiates with customer management
Collaborates with Collections, Sales and Revenue Operations teams to solve complex and high impact credit issues
Daily management of credit case and approval queue
Working on credit enhancement projects to better support business needs
Initiates data analyses that enables Management to gain new insight over time into operations and problem solving.
Provides administrative support to Senior finance leadership
Desired Skills and Experience:
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
2-3 years working in a finance role, prior credit experience is a plus
Prior experience with SOX controls an asset
Ability to review and analyze financial documents and provide recommendations
Good customer relationship skills to manage a variety of customer interactions
Negotiation experience with all levels at both external customers as well as with Sales
Ability to think, act and work critically and independently.
Process and project management experience
Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
Ability to understand broad concepts and translate them into workable solutions.
Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel
Thrives when multi-tasking and work best in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
