Milliman Healthcare Data Analyst in Indianapolis, Indiana
The health care consulting practice located in the Indianapolis office of Milliman provides health consulting services to a broad array of clients in the healthcare field with primary focus on Medicaid and Pharmaceutical consulting. Our projects offer continuous variety and the opportunity for a data analyst to gain exposure to a wide range of traditional and non-traditional actuarial work.
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work with healthcare consultants to develop and utilize actuarial models, utilize a variety of coding platforms to perform analysis of healthcare cost and utilization data, and implement software solutions.
There will not be work sponsorship offered with this position.
Provide statistical analysis of large, complex datasets
Develop and implement statistical analysis plans to address project objectives
Develop strong problem solving skills
Produce sophisticated code and sound statistical reports
Effectively present statistical findings to the consulting team and non-statisticians
Assist in market research data collection process
Work efficiently in a multi-task environment
Work both independently and collaboratively on projects
Degree (Bachelors or Masters Degree) in mathematics, economics, or other quantitative field
Experience in quantitative analysis with a demonstrated focus in statistics and analytics
Experience in application development and software implementation is preferred, but not required
Experience with Microsoft Excel or other similar software for quantitative analysis.
Experience with coding languages (eg R, Python, SAS, SQL) and desire to learn more
Experience at pharmaceutical/biotechnology companies and/or consulting firms a plus but not required.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Organizational and time management skills
Self-starter, with a team-oriented attitude
