In the Intelligent Services Remote Support Specialist role you will be responsible for inspecting, analyzing, troubleshooting, and programming customer Building Automation Systems (BAS) using Trane’s cloud based remote connection and communicating findings and suggestions to the Customer. You will also work closely with the Intelligent Services team to identify and implement Energy Conservation Methods (ECM’s) and optimization opportunities for customer sites. This role works closely with Field Technicians to support any controls related issues they may have while on the jobsite as well as other internal teams with technical questions.
Remote inspection, troubleshooting and programming of Customer Building Automation Systems.
Communicating with Customers on the state of their systems and creation of reports on them.
Customer support for Emergency calls and triage of controls calls that we receive.
Field Technician controls support.
Energy Conservation Method (ECM) and Optimization identification and implementation to Customer BAS.
A High School Diploma or equivalent required, and typically at least 3-5 years of experience in HVAC/Controls. Technical School or formal training is preferred.
Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with hand held computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad).
Previous experience with DDC controls systems.
Network and IT knowledge preferred.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively.
Work in a team environment remotely.
Able to work effectively without direct supervision.
Strong Organizational skills.
Strong computer competency.
